07/23/07:

It seems like forever since we last raced at All-Star Speedway in June and will feel good to be back on the track this Sat. night in Groveton.  We have only raced one time at this track and that was back in 1989 in an A.C.T. race.  I know I didn't adjust to the track very well but that is pretty typical for me at a new track throughout my career.  For some reason I always try to drive a new track like I drive some other track that I'm familiar with and that hasn't worked very well.

Riverside reminds me of Thunder Road in some ways but it's probably best I don't fall into that trap again.  I think if the car handles the way it did at White Mountain with it's banking things should come around fairly good at Groveton.  This will be the first race for the car since I heavily damaged it at All-Star Speedway so I guess we should be ready for tough practice workout.

It will be great to race close to the Berlin City Dealerships in Gorham, N.H. and see some of the employees and customers this weekend.  If anyone is in the area on Friday we will be at the Ford dealership with the race car and some team members so stop by to visit.  I know my friend/truck driver/spotter Willy will be manning the grill around noon so join us for lunch if you can.

The schedule for our "PASS" race on Sat.  is practice starts at 2:00 p.m. and the heat races start at 5:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing some old friends and a lot of the loyal fans that have stood by us for so many years so "come on out to the races".
